I believe that anyone with a well kept savings can travel anywhere in the world and especially when you have a chunk of that savings going towards your flight ticket it can be very discouraging. So my job is to provide you the websites in order to keep as much as you can throughout your vacation. So let's begin!
Situation: Round trip flight from San Francisco to Maldives for a week.
Tips:
-For the cheapest prices fly from May-Nov BUT weather is most likely to experience storms and rain fall.
-For the best weather condition fly Dec-Feb but prices will jack up high due to the holidays sources: lonelyplanet
For this trip i'll plan 2 trips one for the cheapest prices and one for the best weather conditions in all purpose to provide you the lowest fares as possible for each scenario.
WARNING: Traveling to Maldives is one expensive trip. Average tickets cost above and below a grand so i'll do my best to provide you the cheapest websites.
May-Nov(supposedly the cheapest)
Situation: Round trip flight from San Francisco to Maldives Jun 6-Jun 13th.
1. JetCost
USD= $1037.15
2. JetRadar
1. JetCost
USD= $1037.15
2. JetRadar
3. Cheapflights
USD= $1076.39
4. SkyScanner
5. FareDepot
Reason why each site's prices are closely deviated from each other is because flight tickets are really competitive and sell out pretty fast. So when the number one on the list isn't available at least you have other options to choose from which the prices are like a couple more dollars more than each other so you won't have to worry about finding another expensive ticket.
Dec-Feb (Best weather)
Situation: Round trip flight from San Francisco to Maldives Feb 9th-16th(next month)
1. Cheapflights
2. SkyScanner
3. JetRadar
4. Hipmunk
*note: there will be options where just leaving a day later or earlier can save you considerable amounts of money so be aware!
5. JustFly
*note: same concept here if you are flexible and able to persuade for a little longer vacation then by all means take the cheaper ticket and enjoy.

CONCLUSION
Well you can definitely see the difference between flying on supposedly the cheapest months versus flying during the best weather. Here's what I found, some key factors to think about booking your next flight:
- For May-Nov ended up costing more when booking 4-5 months ahead for JUNE
- For Dec-Feb ended up costing less when booking few weeks ahead for FEBRUARY
- But! When I was booking for Dec of this year (11 months from now) tickets were averaging 1200-1300 dollars way more than booking a few weeks ahead. So it did fit the criteria of the best weather/expensive ticket category.
Just because you are booking months in advance would generally mean that you would be saving money. But sometimes that won't be the case right here or maybe other places as well. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Airlines do cut prices towards the end the busy season for a particular country and raise prices at the beginning of the busy season. I read that from somewhere but very faintly but the matter of fact is me providing you all the resources and tips for you next vacation spot. So thank you all for reading and stay tune for my next post! Sayonara! (this is an easy one)
